AUSTIN (KXAN) - After a 1.5 billion dollar needs assessment, Sheryl Cole, Mayor Pro Tem of Austin, sees the importance of all the bond items.
Transportation, affordable housing, public safety and health services are some of the items voters will see on the Nov. ballot.
According to Cole the different bond items are "all crucial to the city and the city's growth and development."
It's no secret Austin is a growing city. Cole says 2/3 of the growth is coming from Austinities having children.
For Cole the transportation bond items would allow improvements in upcoming years and be a down payment on the future.
The Mayor Pro Tem recently was in the Silicon Valley and was told all eyes will be on Austin with the upcoming F1 race.
This Wednesday Cole and other city leaders will speak on ballot issues at Leadership Austin for a Town Hall Breakfast called "Decision 2012" hosted by KXAN.
The event is Wednesday at the Long Center's Dell Hall. Doors open at 7:30 a.m. Tickets can be purchased online.
The town hall meeting will be broadcast Oct. 13 on KXAN from 7-8 p.m.
